Our Company - Our History

Watson Realty, a trusted name since 1965, was a dream of Bill Watson's even while he was a student at Stetson University in the late 1950's. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a major in Real Estate and Insurance he completed his military obligation and returned to Jacksonville, immediately going to work in the industry of his choice. Watson Realty Corp. began on December 16, 1965 as a single office real estate company in a shared storefront with Bill Watson and one part-time sales agent. From the beginning, Watson Realty has focused on Legendary Quality Service, with long-range rather than short-term goals - building upon a foundation of strong leadership and salesmanship. 

Watson Realty's first branch office opened on March 1, 1970 and we have continued to expand ever since - now with 40 residential sales offices and more than 1,400 sales associates throughout Northeast Florida, the Beaches, Gainesville and South Georgia.
